Accessing data in .rs2 (and/or .eef) files "directly"?

[ Edited ]

To all

Does anyone know if it is possible to access the data in an .rs2 (and/or .eef) file directly?

I wonder if one could access the data to extract some value "directly" rather than displaying/plotting the result (in NX). I have a small test code (well almost!) which loop through response simulation events to create (rms stress) result and was thinking about accessing the max value for each result to write in the LW instead of having to display each result one at a time and (write it down)!

Any suggestions

Thanks

Regards

Re: Accessing data in .rs2 (and/or .eef) files "directly"?

The .rs2 file is a Nastran output2 formatted binary file. The structure and datablock format are documented in the DMAP Programmers Guide

The .eef is a binary I-deas hypermatrix file. There is no published format for this file, but it only contains intermediate matrix information anyway - no end results (stresses, displacements, etc.)

AFU data can be accessed using functions in the NXOpen AfuManager class.
