Add Custom Image to Block UI

Hi All,

In NX11, I am creating a block in Block UI Styler. I would like to add my own image to the block for explanatory purposes. Is there a way to do this in the dialog editor? I've tried adding 'Label/Bitmap' from the Block Catalog, but I have no way of choosing an image from a local file.

Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Re: Add Custom Image to Block UI

Try the DrawingArea block.

Re: Add Custom Image to Block UI

Great. This is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks.

Re: Add Custom Image to Block UI

Label/Image block also works, all you need to do is give full path of bitmap.

Below is image with both the blocks, At top it is Label/Bitmap block, below that it is drawing area block. Note that Drawing area block show additional black border.

Depending on user sceanrios you may want to choose one over other.

Thanks Shringanesh,

The label/image block looks much better, though I've been struggling to find the exact directory NX references for all of the bitmaps. Any thoughts or suggestions where the image directory would be located or called?

Re: Add Custom Image to Block UI

Actually, in looking, I found NX was referencing the following archived .bma file.

I can't seem to figure out how to access this file to add my own images.

Re: Add Custom Image to Block UI

If you do not already use the ugii_env.dat variable UGII_BITMAP_PATH, then you should start using it.

This way you don't need to specify the full path, you just have to place your BMP files into the folder pointed to by this variable and NX will happily find them Smiley Wink
