Closing a PRT file (Memmory Low)

I'm coding on java.

In my code I open a list of PRT files and run some actions on each file (NOT simultaneously).

After a while I get that the computer memmory is low message.

Why is that? Do I need to close each PRT file after I done using it? If so, how do I do that?

Re: Closing a PRT file (Memmory Low)

Hello Tom,

You will definetely have to close the parts, since opening new parts without closing the other ones will slowly fill up all your memory.

Same applies if you would do this interactively.

Since i am not a Java expert, i cant help you on the code, but i guess a quick journal record, of such an action should give you the code you need.

Close a part by calling the Close() method on the Part/BasePart object.
