I have a curve which has a point on it that I know the coordinates of, how would I write a function to divide it using this point as a bounding object?

More importantly, once it is divided, how can I apply the properties of the original line to the new line made by the division? When a curve is divided a curve with the original name and properties and an arbitrary "line1" will remain.

(C++)

Any help would be greatly appreciated

There is a sample code in the solution center.

It basically involves creating a copy of the original curve and trimming both curves to the point from either ends.
