Export text from the Operation's information window

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for way to be able to reach to the text of the operation's information window.

I want to export specific sections from it. Is it possible?

Best regards,

Tom.

Check the ListingWindow methods for those related to file actions.

Hello Tom!

You can pipe the information window to an external file using something like that (e.g. in C#):

1) Session curSession = Session.GetSession();
2) ListingWindow curLw = curSession.ListingWindow;
3) String curPath = @"C:\myFile.txt";
4) curLw.SelectDevice(ListingWindow.DeviceType.File, curPath);
5) curLw.Information.DisplayObjectsDetails(someObjects);
6) curLw.SelectDevice(ListingWindow.DeviceType.Window,"");

  This is a simple example for an output pipe:

Line 1-3: Some definition stuff

Line 4: Now, the output of the ListingWindow will go to a specific file (myFile.txt)

Line 5: Make some output in the ListingWindow

Line 6: This will cause the output of the ListingWindow to be on the screen again instead of using the file

Now you can use regular expressions, etc. to handle the *.txt file.

Hope that helps,

Bye,

Flo
