Flexlm Licenses manager

Is there a way to control what license are available to certain users?

Set up an OPT file

1) Add poiinter to OPT file on VENDOR line in license file:

VENDOR ugslmd OPTIONS=C:\Path\your_name.opt

 2) Somewhere should be the Flexera docs on flexnet licensing (look for the end user guide?)

(maybe on install DVD, maybe in ZIP file you download, I think you can download a "license server only" install that, hopefully, includes it)

3) Set up groups (you may want to make sure you have a line:

GROUPCASEINSENSITIVE ON

Theres a bunch of options, so read thru the "options file" section of the docs.

Note you may have to stop/restart the license server service to get it to re-read the OPT file when you make changes (there may be other ways, but I always stop/restart the service)

Read through - it should be there somewhere in one of the flexera documentation PDFs.

There is no need to change the license file, if the options files is named the same as the daemon.

For further documentation read the file fnp_LicAdmin.PDF available in the docs folder of the NX installation media.

Better have this posted in the NX customisation board.

Re: Flexlm Licenses manager

When I added the Option file to the license file and reread the licenses file the licenses file still doesn't read the option file.

Hi,

if your Vendorname is ugslmd, your optionfile must be named ugslmd.opt, please insert the optionfile in the licenseserver installation folder

restart the licenseserver --> finished Smiley Happy
