How To Start With Block Styler

Hello,

I worked on NXopen and now I want to create the application with the help of block styler. I have created one example but I am not getting how to call it in NX or how to combine with vb.net code.

Can anyone please give me an example or link where step by step mentioned the how to start with Block Styler ?

Hi,

There is a "Getting Started with NX/Open" guide that ships with NX11. It's quite similar to the "Getting Started with SNAP" guide that has been around for a few years. It has a chapter on Block Styler. In case you didn't realise this already, Block Styler requires a license. No point learning about it if you don't have a license (and don't plan to buy one).

Re: How To Start With Block Styler

Hi Selvaraj,

First of all thanks for the help.

I started with Blockstyler and i have one query.

In block styler one option is "File selection with browse" in that we can only select .prt file.

is there any option to change file selection method ?

Re: How To Start With Block Styler

Hi,

Modify the filter property to pick the other files.

For example, to select the .txt file add "*.txt"

Re: How To Start With Block Styler

Hi,

Thanks for the help.

It is working as expected.

I have one more query when we use block styler, there two option to execute code. One is "OK" and the other is "Apply". So when I click on Apply, the code will execute and the second time when user click on OK the same code will execute again. I want to

I want to execute only once if the user will first click on apply button.

Is that possible to hide any of them either OK or Apply?

Re: How To Start With Block Styler

The dialog has a property to only show OK and Cancel, change it in the block styler application.
