I am trying to get NX project when we start the new project from Visual Studio.
For that, I did some setting as mentioned in below link.
So i have copied files from "NX11.0\UGOPEN\vs_files" into "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\2017\Professional".
So I am getting NX 11 wizard in the new project as shown in image. But it is not opening.
Can you please correct where I have to make modification?
Solved! Go to Solution.
See my reply in the other thread.
I would assume the VB wizards need the same version of Vis Studio as C++ requires.
Production: NX10.0.3.5 MP16/TC11.2
I'd rather be e-steamed than e-diseaseled
It looks like you want to write VB code.
To do this, I just use a Project Template; I never use the "Wizards".
Making a Project Template is trivial -- you just set up some project the way you want it in Vis Studio, and then use the Export Template function on the File menu to save it as a Template. Then you put the template zip file in the right folder. All standard stuff.
The main thing the template needs to do is set up references.
This is how the SNAP templates work. You can read about them in the "Getting Started with SNAP" guide. It should be easy to make your own templates , by analogy. Or, maybe you will find that the SNAP templates work for you.
You are correct that VS2017 is not supported with NX 11. VS2015 is not either. The official supported version of Visual Studio for NX 11 is VS2013:
C/C++ must be compiled with the correct VS version
For .Net, you can configure the VS Wizards to work with newer versions of VS. You just need to edit the .vsz file and update the VsWizardEngine to the correct version. Be aware that GTAC may not provide support if you are not using the supported VS version for a particular NX release.
Thanks for the information.
Really it is very helpful.
I have tried to download VS 2013 from Microsoft site.
But when I proceed to download, it is redirecting to VS 2017 only.
If anyone has link to download VS 2013, then please provide.
