How to disable on-screen input boxes

Many commands offer both an input in the command dialog box and an on-screen input box.

One user would like to jash use the cammand dialog and does not like the on-screen input.

F3 will hide both while you are working. That's great.

Is there a way to hide just the on-screen input and not the command dialog?

Have you checked the customer defaults or user interface preferences?

If you don't find something there, then there is no way.
