How to use several thread_standard_dat spreadsheets

Hello everybody,

I have the necessity to use several thread_standard_dat spreadsheets, one for each customer who wants to customize the standard parts thread, but I can't figure out how to "tell" the program which spreadsheets it must use.

If you are talking about the files in %UGII_BASE_DIR%\UGII\modeling_standards

- Open a session of NX

- File -> Help -> Log file

- search for "UGII\modeling_standards"

You will see the 3 ENV variables used to define where these files can be found

What you will want to do is

- put each customer's files into a separate folder

- use these ENV variables to point to the correct folder.

Set up .BAT files to start NX in each customer's environment, with the ENV variables set correctly for that customer.

I'm not sure if you can change these ENVs after a session is open, but you could try it - write a journal to change the ENV setting, then see if the thread list changes.

Example code(you WILL need to edit to suit)

Dim theSession As Session = Session.GetSession()
Dim UFSes As UFSession = UFSession.GetUFSession()

UFSes.UF.SetVariable("ENV_VARIABLE_HERE", "C:\\Your\\Path\\Here\\")

Thank you for the answer Ken_A, unfortunatly that's not what I mean.

The spreadsheet that I'm talking about it's in the directory %MOLDWIZARD\templates, here I have an excel file called "thread_standard_dat" where I can customize the tap drill dia.

Exist a ENV variable that can control which "thread_standard_dat" I want to use?

Thank you.

Sorry, I don't use Mold Wizard.

But there's got to be an ENV pointing to something that you can modify.

Even if it is the entire mold wizard tree - MOLDWIZARD_DIR
