Probably.

Have you tried creating a Journal & looking at the code?

  • UDF feature not supportble for journal.

we have to use CreateInstantiatedUdf function.

Re: Instantiate UDF using Nxopen VB .Net

Hi

Could you give me some help about the use of "UF_MODL_create_instantiated_udf1"?

When I use this function the third parameter is always wrong,it coms the message "The input UDF parents data is invalid."

I need to associate UDF features to an edge, or a line.

Re: Instantiate UDF using Nxopen VB .Net

Hi,

you can refer this link for udf instatiation. Check it once whether you have defined, old reference, new reference and number of references.......for   "UF_MODL_udf_ref_data_t *" .

Better you can use UF_Modl_Create_Instantiated_udf method.

refere this links for documentation:

thanks,

Re: Instantiate UDF using Nxopen VB .Net

Hi

Yes you are right,I have checked the structure of the input.

Use "Create_instantiated_udf" can be generated normally, but “Create_instantiated_udf” can only apply part of the scene.
Perhaps in some cases, only "create_instantiated_udf1" can meet the requirements.
Only it can adjust the reference direction of the association.

Anyway, thank you very much!
