So I have a script that I want to run whenever the number of drawing sheets are modified. Currently I have it running with the ACTION/PRE option for the general Delete and Paste functions which could be used to change the number of drawing sheets.
The problem is that I am experiencing some lag with these functions now. The first thing the script does is check if the user is in drafting and returns if they are not. Even just checking the module and returning causes noticable lag in the Modeling application.
Is there another way to do this or something I can change about my script to reduce or elliminate this lag?

Do you use a DLL or the not compiled Journal.
Using a DLL would improve performance, if you set it to not be released immediately as the unload option.
A Journal always results in a delay, since it must be compiled just-in-time on every execution.
