Level of drafting

Pioneer

Hello,

I have to configure NX in a managed environnement.

In log file from NX I have those lines :

"

Failed to populate drafting standard data in level 1.
Failed to populate drafting standard data in level 3.
"

Does someone knows to what those levels are for ?

Best regards

Adrien

There are three levels based on the following environment variables defined in ugii_env.dat:

  1. UGII_SITE_DIR
  2. UGII_GROUP_DIR
  3. UGII_USER_DIR

If there is one or more not set, because you don't use them, then there are no customer defaults sourced at this level.

The message is just a note, it is neither a warning nor an error.

Thank you,

This is strange, because I have set UGII_SITE_DIR and UGII_USER_DIR, but not UGII_GROUP_DIR,

And NX process this file in level 2 and not in level 1 and 3 as it should be.

Wich File would you see ?

If you have not specified any customer defaults for drafting at a specific level, then you can just ignore the notice in the log file.

Is everything working as expected => ignore the notice!

Are all drafting settings changed through the customer defaults correct => ignore the notice!

It is optional to have customer defaults specified on each available level.

I'm Ok with this logic !

But I have set UGII_SITE_DIR, and NX process nx110_site.dpv in level 2 and not 1 as expected... This is why I ask about that.

Then you have not changed the drafting standard at this level.Customer Defaults DraftingCustomer Defaults Drafting

If you don't select Customize Standard then you have no changes to apply at this level.

The drafting standards are saved into a separate file, not the site.dpv file.
