after instal NX10 and documentation, new documentation server has very high memory usage.
I have win 8.1 pro x64. Is this normal?
For reference, not on Win8:
I installed it at my Win7 laptop, there it utilizes 940MB.
At the company site I deployed it to a JBOSS7.1 that one utilizes 1,7GB right now but I do not know how much memory was used before because that server has other tasks to do as well.
Production: NX10.0.3.5 MP11 + TC10.1.7.1
Testing: NX10.0.3.5 MP17, NX188.8.131.52 MP02 + TC10.1.7.1
I have the same problem. But for me this memory consumption is not normal, it is too high. It is slowing down my computer and even preventing from calculation of complex toolpaths because of high memory demands.
Did anyone try to lower/limit somehow the memory consumption?

I found a document in the uganswer database:
By default the SPLM Documentation Server 1.0 has a large memory footprint on Windows. This will be reduced in later versions, but for the initial release this has to be manually configured. The large memory footprint is a result of the default Java heap size that is set during the installation process. For a server that is used by a small number of users, these default values are too large resulting in an unnecessary large memory footprint.
You are correct, forgot to post the original link here as well. But well spotted
If anyone is looking for the original document, look here:
I had found that document a week ago looking for something else.
Anyway, I did some testing and on my system I was able to lower the values as per the image below and go the memory usage down to about 500Mb.
I did get the values to a point where it wasn't working at all, so I'm sticking with what's set below.
Also need to stop & restart the Doc service to pick up the new memory values.
