I am thinking about something but cannot find the info in the doc. When in the NX.Modelling module one can create a cross section and even have a number of cross sections at a constant step (see attached). I am looking for the “Class” (not sure of the correct the programming term) to access the info of the section(s).
I’d like to extract the 2nd moment of area (Ixx, Iyy) of a number of cross sections (along a path). There must be a way of automating such task (unless if there is something /somewhere in NX?)

In interactive NX, one way to get the 2nd moments is with the Analysis -> Section inertia... command. In NXOpen, use the SectionInertiaAnalysis/SectionInertiaAnalysisBuilder objects.

Looks like one may need a specific licence to access the feature!
The dropbox link worked for me as did the code (even though it is, admittedly, a bit crude). To the best of my knowledge, you don't need any special functionality beyond a modeling license.
The code looks for "intersection curve" features, which is a little different than what you show in the screenshot.
