NX Journal for DXF conversion for multiple drawings

Pioneer

Hello,

I tried with recording the journal for exporting to DXF/DWG from NX. I was successful for one instance only, if I change the drawing the Journal won't work. Is there any way that I can export the bunch of NX drawings placed in different folders at a time?

The constraint here is, The drawing initially has to be converted to CGM and then imported CGM to NX and then export CGM to DWF.

Please help

Thank you very much

Why do you make it that complex?

Forget CGM ex- and import, instead use 2D-exchange.

When I use 2D-Exchange, it even converts 3D model as an entity, Which is not required for me at this moment.

So I opted to CGM EX-Import function

Make sure to only select drawings for processing with 2d-exchange.

Thank you very much for your suggestions. I would do the same.

Do we have any Journal code to run, so that I can run it for multiple drawings at a time ?

Why not use the command line utility to convert parts to 2d?

Afterwards you just need to convert them to the desired output format.

This can all be done with a simple Windows command script (aka batch script) too.

Should be much easier to handle files in folders on the file system.
