Reuse library

Hi all.
Is it possible to add more information to a .krx and/or .prt file in order to improve the search of parts in the reuse library?

Note: I don't have Teamcenter.

Thanks.

Re: Reuse library

Which NX release?

Starting with NX9 Solr can be used as the search engine and the index can include more information, like part attributes.

Re: Reuse library

Thanks for your answer.
I'm working with NX10.
I already knew the possibility of creating indexes with attribute and expressions information, but it is not working well for me (or i don't know how to make it work fine).

Re: Reuse library

Had a hard time getting Solr search to work with NX 9 and had no time yet to check NX 10.

Basically you would do the following:

  1. Install the Siemens documentation server
  2. Add the reuse library package to it, see installation guide of documentation server
  3. Specify the indexing criteria in NX
  4. Reindex the library

Just had a quick look at the docs, so not yet any hint if this works.

Re: Reuse library

Hello Stefan,

I absolutely agree with you it'r a real hard time to get solr search running esp. with Reuse lib.

Can you please give a bit more detailed information to the topic 4 reindexing the library.

Thanks in advance
