Visual Studio Fails Project Creation

Hello everyone,

I am using visual studio 2015 and have nx10 installed. I have moved the vcwizard and vcproject files from ..NX 10.0\UGOPEN\vs_files\VC\VCWizards to ........\Microsoft Visual Studio 14.0\VC\VCWizards

from ....\NX 10.0\UGOPEN\vs_files\VC\vcprojects

 ...........\Microsoft Visual Studio 14.0\VC\vcprojects

When I click create new project in visual studio, i can see the nxopen templates, however after i click ok visual studio says:

project creation failed.

It was working on my old machine the same setup and now i am wondering why it does not work.

any ideas?

Re: Visual Studio Fails Project Creation

Okay. As usual, after posting here I realized the root cause. NXOpen template for NX10 requires visual studio 2012 vswizard.dll. I installed vs2012 and it works fine now.

You can generate an NXOpen project in VS2015 using NXOpen template, but configuration set by the template will adjust the compiler version.
