Where to get a working NXSigningResource.res file

The NXSigningResource.res found at C:\Program Files\Siemens\NX 10.0\UGOPEN appears to be empty.

The only contents are: NXAUTHBLOCK which gives me the impression that file is just a placeholder and that a correct file should come from some other source.

I have an NXOPEN development license, so I am guessing I need to do one of 2 things:

  • Download a proper NXSigningResource.res from somewhere.  If so, where?
  • Get an license in addition to NXOPEN development, that will let me sign and distribute.  If so, what is that license

Can anyone offer some guidance?

The resource file you have is OK.

Here is the link to documentation explaining what you need to do.

The problem is fixed now.  My error was in using SignCPP when I should have been using SignDotNet.

I will offer this warning for others:

If you use SignCPP on a dot net application, it will appear to succced.  It will even verify ok.

then when you try to run it you get a signature failure.
