I suggest the  first thing you need to do is to go over Check-Mate documentation:

https://docs.plm.automation.siemens.com/tdoc/nx/11/nx_help/#uid:xid1128420:index_checkmate

For you to write good check-mate checkers you need to first understand how check-mate checkers are executed inside of NX, understand how users can configure them and execute them. Understand the different terminology. The link I gave you will help you with the workflow and then you can jump into authoring your own check-mate checkers, follow this link authoring new checkers:

https://docs.plm.automation.siemens.com/tdoc/nx/11/nx_help#uid:xid1128420:index_checkmate:id1159461

The important thing when it comes to authoring checkers is to first understand the front end DFA. We have provided a sample template that shows this:

https://docs.plm.automation.siemens.com/tdoc/nx/11/nx_help#uid:xid1128420:index_checkmate:id1159461:...

See how different blocks will do different things from presenting the checker name to performing the check to displaying the results. How checker dfa's are loaded and from where. I suggest you look at this template and then look at the Out-Of-The-Box simple checkers we have provided under DESIGN_TOOL\checkmate\dfa\checker

I also suggest using some of the template checkers that we have provided and tweaking it based on your requirement. In your case look at the template checker "Check if Layers Contain Objects of Valid Types".

And for some quick help on how to get started with Knowledge Fusion, please follow this link:

Having said this, I would always suggest a 2 or 3 day training course to help acquire the fundamentals of the framework and the language.

An investment at the start will save time and money in the long run.
