Which NX release?

Have you already tried recording the interactive procedure?

Do you have an example part file, since drilling operations are not all the same.

In hole_making operations, record a journal and see what it records.

JA is not available in the legacy point-to-point operations - you need to use GRIP for those.

Thanks to Stefan & MarkRief.

I've tried to record a journal, but ya, looks like journal did not support legacy drilling operations.

Thank you anyway

Re: how to change tool tip depth using journal?

Since you are on NX 9, you should really migrate to the new drilling operations and abandon P2P.

Drilling operations support all the new clearance geometry types, not only the regular plane.

In addition they support recording of journals as a base for automation programs.
