Punch sphere in cylinder

Hi people,

How to punch a sphere into a cylindrical surface to get something like this?

I don't use sheet metal very often but I'm sure this can be done. I've tried it with the solid punch feature (wich was most logical to me) but I can't select a cylindrical face as a taget.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Hello @hajnal,

As you can see @Amol_Badgujar has provided a solution for you IF the part is made from sheet metal (it needs the gap as shown).  The image you provide implies an extrude or machined part rather than 'sheet' and not specifically supported by the sheet metal.

An indentation can be added to this kind of part using modeling emboss body (for example) if that suits that manufacturing process - a true sphere shape as the tool.
