How to check faces deviation.

Hi,

How to check the entire part faces deviation against imported model at a time. I can check single face to face deviation but i need to do all faces at a time.

Check with 'Model Compare', 'Perform simple model comparison'. With this you can compare the geometries of bodies that resides in two different parts.

Re: How to check faces deviation.

Is that possible in part level? I want to check at part level..

Re: How to check faces deviation.

Hi Ganesh,

I have done remastering by importing one unparametric model, i have to check my parametric model within in the tolerance of unparametric model or not.

Re: How to check faces deviation.

The first check I would do on imported data would be Examine Geometry, to do an overall general check on the individual faces.

To check quality of a surface model and the deviation between faces then you should use the VDA 4955 compliance checker. Can be run as command or in Check-Mate test, where you will also find check for SASIG-PDQ. Both of these are used in the automotive industry to check quality of geometry.

Note also in NX 11 the Surface Continuity analysis command now works on multiple faces.

may also want to take a look at Deviation Gauge command.
