I have created a website form and I was wondering if anyone out there knows an easy way that when the submit button is hit that the information in the form is e-mailed to a specified e-mail.

My website form works all but being able to get the information sent to me.

Is your web page hooked up to a database that is collecting the form information? If so, does this information contain the desired e-mail address? If so, you should be able to access the e-mail address and compose an e-mail from the database record.

It isn't attached to a database. It is just a form that needs to be filled for information that needs to be e-mail to an address

If you are using ASP.NET, I can give you sample code ... though probably not until tomorrow when I'll have that code handy.

I've seen something like a PHP file but not sure if this is the way to go.
I want something simple to be able to send the form information.

HTML is kind of a dumb language, so it doesn't lend itself to remembering information like e-mail addresses. You need to pair it with other things that can store and manipulate data, such as databases, flat files and Java, .Net, Cold Fusion, etc.

I'm open to any of those but I'm looking for something simple to use.

Well, the ASP.NET method isn't so simple to use ... depending on your definition of "simple" of course ;-) I did wrap all the requirements of sending an email using .NET into a class to simplify it, but even that isn't so easy to use.

If you are on a unix server, you might be able to easily send an email via command line ... this is just speculation compiled from overhead conversations, I don't know the specifics.

What's more, if you are running exhange server, it'll be a little more complicated .. or at least will likely need some exchange-side configuration to allow your web server to send email.

I have tried the the HTML side of it but it doesn't work with every type of e-mail.
