The PLM World Board of Directors is currently seeking motivated individuals to serve in the following Board positions. More detailed descriptions are included at the end of this announcement.

PLM World as an organization values diverse experiences in leadership, background, expertise, geographic location, and professional level. It seeks leaders from all types and sizes of eligible organizations. The PLM World Board of Directors has identified several key characteristics that potential Board members would have:
Demonstrated involvement with PLM World and the Siemens PLM customer community. Examples might include but are not limited to: attendance at PLM Connections; presentations at PLM Connections or regional user events; leadership within the regional user groups; participation or leadership in working groups or focus groups, etc..
Recognized leader within their company for PLM activities.
Relevant expertise in the disciplines of product design, production, supply chain, or sustainment. Examples include, but are not limited to: engineer, designer, purchasing/procurement, IT staff or manager, executive team, group manager, etc..
Commitment to participate in 4-6 board meetings in person per year and bi-weekly phone calls.
An ability to demonstrate positive leadership attributes; emotional intelligence; ability to work collaboratively and engage in appropriate debate and discussion when needed.
A tendency towards visionary or strategic thinking, with an appreciation for the tactical processes needed to execute those visions and strategies.

Nominations should include the following: name, job title, company, experiences using Siemens PLM tools, and a brief description of how the candidate would contribute to PLM World. The winners will be announced on May 19, 2016 on the final day of PLM Connection 2016 in Orlando.
Vice-Technical Director In addition to assisting the Technical Director, the Vice-Technical director will be responsible for preparing the conference surveys and monitoring the PLM World website discussion areas. The Vice Technical Director shall be a voting member of the Board of Directors. The Vice Technical Director assumes the role of Technical Director by ascension according to the PLM World bylaws, so the Technical Director Position duties are included below for reference. The Technical Director is responsible for managing the organizational structure of the technical groups, and representing the Technical Committee on the Board of Directors. In addition, the Technical Director shall:
Review Working Group and Strategic Innovation Teams Chairperson candidates’ qualifications.
Work with Siemens PLM Software and the Agenda Committee to develop conference themes and the conference agenda.
Coordinate and organize all Working Group and Strategic Innovation Teams chair activities.
Provide technical guidance to the Special Interest Group (SIG)/Technical Track chairpersons and Strategic Innovation Teams.
Direct PLM World staff to publish and update the conference agenda on PLM World’s website.
Prepare and publish a call for papers for each PLM Connection conference.
Lead the Agenda Committee in recruiting speakers and selecting abstracts for technical papers.
Review the presentation abstracts submitted for presentation at PLM Connection.
Director of Finances The Director of Finances shall be a voting member of the Board of Directors. The Director of Finances shall be the chief financial officer of the Corporation. The Director of Finances has the following duties:
Develop and maintain an overall financial strategy and liability plan for the organization.
Ensure that the budgets maintain alignment to this strategy.
Ensure that the organization and Board follows all documented financial procedures.
Oversee activities of the Business Coordinator regarding their responsibilities with finance.
Provide and present the Chairperson and the Board periodic reports of the financial condition of the Corporation as it relates to the financial strategy.
Director of Finances shall exercise the functions of the Treasurer as defined in Section 317A.305(3) of the Act
