is ist possible to add an additional option in PlantSimulation which asks for saving the model in case the run button is pressed like PlantSimulatin doies when closed.
It may avoid losses of work for those cases, where PlantSimulation crashes.
for large models this setting would be pretty annoying.
Crashes are usually not that often and when a crash happens in almost all cases the model is written and you can open it again after a restart.
If you have crashes more often it would be helpful if you could post the model which causes a crash.
That's why I was asking to add an ==>> OPTION <<== like a lot of other options that can be enabled or disabled in the settings environmen, that can be turned off. If one doesn't want to use this feature for any reason (e.g. large scale model, etc.), it can be disabled.
But our goal is to not clutter up our preferences dialog with a lot of options which are useful only in rare cases.
you can save the model in your reset or init method with savemodel command.
If you are using a variable to store the count of runs, you can combine this variable to the saving name, so you will have incremental model history.
BTW Plant Simulation is VERY stable in most cases.
