Assembly Station MU issue

Creator

Hi all,

I have a container with a MU assembled on to it, this container then moves to a 2nd assembly station.

I have an issue where the MU at station 2 isn't being assembled on top of the MU from station 1. (2 different MU's have been created and selected).

Is there a way I can do this without deleting the MU's, as I need to keep the pallet within the model.

Any help is appreciated.

Jake

Hello Jake,

I tried creating the same scenario and was able to obtain desired result. Please make sure that base MU has enough capacity to accomodate parts at two assembly stations. If you are still facing the problem, please post the model (or part of the model) so that i can look into it.

Thanks for your reply.

Unfortunately changing the properties of the carrier makes no difference.

I have attached an image of the area of the model below. As you can see Stage2 icon is a different colour to differenciate.

Though when it moves from Station 4, the carrier is only showing Stage1 MU on top of it.

I need it recognise stage 2 for a method later in the model.... any more tips?

Thanks

Jake

Can you post screen shot of the following
1. Base Mu dialog box.
2. Station 4(second assembly station) dialog box
3. Statistics of Base MU after coming out of station4.

I presume when you say Base MU you mean the container which is moving?

Here are the attachments... thanks

Model very much a work in progress.

I would ideally like the 2nd MU to be visible after it has passed through second stage.

Thanks

Hello jake,

I got it. Your problem is with animation points. In class library, pallets, edit icon and change the animation points as follows.

That's great, I can now see the second MU on the pallet!

Though is there also a way of now only showing this second MU and not the first also?

Thanks for your help so far, appreciate it.

On the model, converter 4 has a method attributed to it.

It states that if the pallet has Stage2_MU on it then move towards 'Line' and to the single proc.

The pallet now has Stage 1 and Srtage2_MU showing on it but the variable which has been entered isnt registering the Stage2_MU and therefore wont move the pallet to the single proc.

Anyone that can help??

Thanks
