Hi, I am working on a project where a robot puts two items on a machine (pictured below), the machine spins, the parts are worked on by other robots, the machine spins 180 degrees again, and then the original robot takes the two items off. I was wondering if there is any way to simulate this. Right now I have the following buffer process (below), but I want the buffer to wait until there's two products and release them at the same time, work on them at the same time, then take them from BufferProc2 to BufferingConv1. I don't know if there's any way to do this to make it exactly simulate what I'm trying to do, but I'm open to any suggestions! Also, I was wondering what a parallel proc does compared to a regular proc and if there is sometimes a slight delay if two products entered the parallel proc at the same time. Thanks!
in Version 14.1 there is a Option in the ParallelStation to wait with the start of the processing, until the parallelStation is filled. In older versions you could lock the entrance of the parallelproc,wait until the buffer upstream has 2 parts and load the parts to the parallelProc (unlock the entrance). If the buffer has no procTime (or you move the part with simtalk), the parallelproc should finish the parts at the same time.
For wait in the buffer you can use an observer for full or numMu.
