Change shift plan during simulation

Experimenter
Experimenter

Hello everyone

I want to change shiftplan during simulation experiment but it doesn't work.

I use Plant Simulation 12.1.1.

Every week I have to define a new shift plan - week 1 / 16 Shifts, week 2 / 18 Shift etc..
Shiftplan changes every monday at 6 AM by generator.

At the start simulation it sets shiftplan properly, but during simulation when it sets a single proc doen't follow new shiftplan but follows original shiftplan.

When I stop simulation and open manualy current shift calendar and I press apply and then run simulation a single proc starts following new shiftplan properly.

Any suggestions how can I do it works properly?

Thanks in advance

Hello Laci_P,

deactivate the shift calendar before you change the shiftplan and activate it then again.

Kind regards

Hi there

Is something change in Plant Simulation v 13.0 and newer ?

Because in these versions this solution does not work like previous v12.xx.

Can someone give me some advice how to achiev changing Shiftcalendar in singleproc during simulation experiment ?

Thanks a lot.

Hi Laci_P,

in Plant Simulation V13 we have changed that it is no longer necessary to deactivate/activate the shift for a change of the shiftplan.

But the workaround should work anyway.

Could you please post your model.

Kind regards

Hi Karola
I can post only part of model, but I think it will be enough for this case:

1. - fix_shiftplan -> Shiftplan is fixed and is configured manualy before start of simulation experiment

2. - variable_shiftplan -> Shiftplan is changing by methot SC_m (.models.frame.data.shift_db)
- this methos is running by init method and after 21 shift (7 days) by method Change_shift called by generator.

2nd variant worked well in previous versions of PS 12.xx, but in newer versions it does`t.

Thanks advance for help

Hi Laci_P,

thank you for the model. There is a bug in version 13.1 and newer. This will be fixed in the next service pack. Sorry for the inconvenience.

In version 13 changing the shift plan works with or without deactivating/activating the shift.

Kind regards

Re: Change shift plan during simulation

Hi,

I am using 13.1.0.996 and I am also facing the same problem. I want to change it from 2 shift working to 1 shift working but as soon as i change the shift plan it runs for 3 shift instad of 1.

Is this issue is resaolved in 13.1 and above.
