Combining Multiple manual and automatic operations in a single station

Hi All,

I have a scenario wherein in a single station following set of operations have to be performed one after the other,

  1. Manual operation
  2. Automatic operation
  3. Manual operation
  4. Automatic operation
  5. Manual operation

Requesting all to please advise on how to go about it

Many thanks in advance

One way is to create a new "station" from a frame

In the frame you have one connected station per operation.

The first station you lock after 1 Mu has entered

and at the last station you unlock the 1. station for the next Mu

to enter and to be processed on all stations.

Dear Phenom,

Thanks for the reply.Currently i am doing the same way, but the problem comes when we try to plot the utilisation chart for that respective station.I am hoping to model this scenrio, so that we use only one SingleProc

Thanks

Where do you see a problem to aggregate the data of the 5 (sub) stations

to plot the station utilisation ?

Hi,

We face problem when trying to interpret Utlisation of a machine with Auto,Manual,Auto time.

Attached the snapshot.

If we can get a workaround to incorporate Cycle time sequentially it will be helpful.

if you lock the exit of the predecessor, you can move the MU in the exit control back to the same station. There you can use the entrance control (before action) to modify the service table of the importer and/or activate/deactivate the importer. So you can program a set of processing steps on the same SingleProc.

see here an example:

Re: Combining Multiple manual and automatic operations in a single station

Hello Steffen,

Sorry to repeat the query - I am not able to conclude from example given.

My query is:

Station 1 - Cycle time as below

MT - 5s

AT - 10s

MT - 5s

AT - 4s

MT - 20s

I currently have created a model in which 5 stations are created and after 1 MU enters station 1, I have locked entrance of Station 1 and once MU exits Station 5 I have unlocked entrance of Station 1.

When I try to plot Machine utilization all 5 machines are displayed which doesn't convey the right message.

Is there a simple way to customize the Processing time (in a tabular form if possible) such that the time gets assigned in the sequence fed earlier.

Appreciate your support

if MT, AT and so on are MU-names, then you can select in the tab times as distribution list(type) for the procTime. If you assign a table you can insert the names of the MU and the times into this table and the SingleProc will select the right value, if one of the MU enters the station

But for calculate the times, the singleProc needs to be occupied (the statistical values are read only values).

Post an example, then we can try it together...

Re: Combining Multiple manual and automatic operations in a single station

Hello Steffan,

I am unable to attach .spp file

Please find details below.

Machine name: Cleaning station

Total Processing time - 60 seconds

1st 10 sec - Manual operation - Operator works on the machine

2nd 20 sec - Auto Operation - Operator not required

3rd 10 sec - Manual operation - Operator works on the machine

Last 20 sec - Auto Operation - Operator not required

I have created 4 instance of same station and kept "Importer" - "active" for Cleaning_STN_M1 and Cleaning_STN_M2.

In reality only ONE MACHINE needs to be created to have processing time in a sequence.

Support required:

Need 1 Single station - Cleaning_STN

Processing time - Is it possible to include them in the sequence below:

10s - Manual - Operator reqd

20s - Auto

10s - Manual - Operator reqd

20s - Auto

Thanks

if you zip the spp, you can post it

see the attached example, look at the entrance and exitcontrol of the singleProc
