Create MU's on Assembly Station

Hello All,

Currently, I am trying to figure out how I can create a new MU on an Assembly station. I can create an MU on a buffer and move it to the Assembly station but I only want this to happen when my model is initialized then I want parts to move in from source to drain. This is to simulate a full process initially.

Without Connector: The first MU is created and begins processing. The problem is that if a second MU is created by the source, the connector for Assembly1 is not there.

With Connector: The first MU is not processed because I believe the Assembly station is waiting for a part from Assembly1.

Any thoughts?

you should not use the AssemblyStation, if you don't need or want to use the functions of this block. It is very easy to load MUs on containers with simtalk or delete and create MUs.
Also in version 13 you need a connector for the main parts. All other parts you can move using SimTalk.

Agreed, I don't need to use Assembly Stations but if I were to use them then I would have to create a method.

Attached is a model that shows how a method can be used in case anyone is interested.
