Date drop down selection from calendar

Hi forum

I want to use a dialog to insert project start dates and end dates.

currently I have it like the picture below:

Calendar Dialogbox.JPG

What I would like to do is change the Date inputs to select from a drop-down calendar like you get in windows:

I know it is possible and probably quite simple but I am not sure where to look for the simtalk required.

Any feedback will be much appreciated!

Regards,

Hermias

Hermias,

It used to work through ActiveX, using the MSCAL.Calendar.7 class. But this functionality was dropped/replaced by Microsoft.

Hi Hermias,

some time ago I wanted to have the same thing and built myself a dialog inside Plant Simulation, that offers the same functionality like the Windows dialog:

It works fine, but it was a lot more work than anticipated (and now it is not even used...)!!

Since I did this during my work, I cannot "give away" the tool, but if you want some information/tips on how to re-build my tool, I'll try to help you.

Best Regards,

Alex
