Hi GS,

you can use the 'writeFile' method of a table to write the data as comma seperated values (csv) top a text file.

This can be read by Excel and it is much faster.

Hello Ralf,

May I know on using "WriteFile" command, what delimiter is used when copying data to the .txt file.

I am finding trouble in copying the data from the .txt file to MS Excel using a macro which I developed as it is ignoring the "tabs" between the values and pasting them in excel in a single cell.

Thank you,

Yogesh

Hello Yogesh,

You can define the seperator you want to use.

Open a table, select the List ribbon and then go to 'Export->Text File Format'. Here you can set the column seperator to a semi-colon.

Hey Ralf

It shows the default column separator as "Tab".

Will this hold true when I write the tables into a .txt file?

I am writing all my results tables in the endsim method to avoid saving manually each time.

Thank you,

Yogesh

Yes, the seperator which is shown here will be used to write the table into a .txt file.
