Experiment Manager Permutations

Hi all,

I'm trying to use the configuration method in Experiment Manager to change a table within my model. I want to have the code and experiment manager test all possible combinations. I'll be changing the cells within the table to numbers and it is possible to have repeat numbers. Ex: 1, 1, 2, 3

Does anyone know/have an idea on how to code permutations in SimTalk 2.0 using experiment manager?

Any help is appreciated!

you can use the experiment manager to create experiments for all possible permutations e.g.

create 2 or more global variables, define all global variables as inputs for the experiment manager; select tools - Multi level experimental design

Set for all inputs start, stop and step and the experiment manager will create experiments for all possible permutations (with step size=1)

Hi Steffen,

Thanks for the quick response!

I've never used multi-level experimental design on Plant Sim, is there an example I coud look at so I can get more familiar with this?

there is an example in the example collection:

category: Tools and optimization

topic: Experiment Manager

Example: Experimental design

in my book: Page 275...

here the example from my book:
