I would like to know if it is possible to find on object in the whole project/model.
I have SingleProcs duplicated as Workstation template. This template has methods IN and OUT included.
Once I instance this workstation I always have the same code everywhere.
If I search for an object it only gives what it found in the main frame and the methods which are located here.
I can select ".MaterialFlow" where I have duplicate my workstation template, but there will be no search result.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Sorry, but I don't know understand what you mean.
I like to take a variable name from any object, go to 'General' 'Find Object", past it here, press Find and get all locations where it is used.
I want to find where (method) a variable is changed.
Ex: I have a global variable in the frame and like to search this kind of instuction changing the value "iVarName :=".
There is "SingleProc" duplicated to be used as template for workstations. This workstation template has an IN and OUT control method.
Your are right I can list all instances of this workstation, but that is not what I am looking for.
I am used to have a global search in other software editors.
Thats a part of it only.
I like to get a complete list where a variable is used.
If I enter 'MaterialFlow' it will show me the first location in each method which is part of this folder.
I can type 'Basis' in the 'Look in' box, but there is no result.
Did you get a solution to what you were looking for? I think I have the same problem.
I am looking for the method which accesses a global variable defined in my root frame.
