We are two students working on a university project using Plant Simulation software. We are simulating an emergency room, and we ask you to help us giving an attribute to every MU (the patient) processed in the Triage.
When a patient is received in the hospital, a triage takes place, which role is to assess the health state of the patient; thus we would like to add an attribute (like a color) to every patient going through the triage.
If a Method is needed, then please can you provide us an example of it?
Thank you very much!!
Solved! Go to Solution.
if you open the dialog of a MU just go to the custom attributes tab.
There you can create additional attributes to the MU. E.g. you can create an attribute with name 'HealthState'.
You then can set this attribute, e.g. in the exit control of your triage station:
@.HealthState := "ArmBroken";
Thanks a lot. One more things: I was wondering if, according to the attachment, is it possible to give a name/identifier to the units after they go through the triage. For instance it enters from a source a unit and after the triage the unit has the name "yellow" or "blue" or what else.
The MU has an attribute 'name' which you can set to 'yellow' or 'blue'.
It's a string attribute, but since it has to be a valid identifier in SimTalk there are certain limitations for the allowed characters. E.g. you cannot have spaces in it.
You can define an exit control at your triage process.
When you set this exit control to rear triggered and not front triggered the control is called when the MU has left the triage process.
Then you know which line it took and you can set the attribute 'name' or whatever you want to use appropriately.
