two steps:
- read the complete content of the sqlite table into a plant Simulation table
- use the ODBC Interface to transfer the data to the MS SQL database (you will need to setup your database as a ODBC data source first)

For the second step, you will need the Interface package.

If you use SQLite with a file, you can set up the sqlite database as ODBC data source (download a ODBC driver) and you can read it directly from your MS SQL database.

Hello! can i use the SQLiteDemo to set as my default database on my ODBC data source? From here, I can connect to SQL server. is it possible?

then you need to set the SQLiteDemo also as the data source in the SQLite Interface in Plant Simulation.

Great! But how do I set the SQLiteDemo as the data source? Been thinking through for a moment and did not manage to do it. Appreciate it!

set in the path in the SQLite interface, Plant Simulation will create a file (if it not exists) if you access this file with the interface (SQL). Than you need to download and install a SQLite ODBC driver. After this you can set the database-file as a ODBC data source in window (look in the windows help, how to do this).

Hi,

SQLite interface to plant simulation is new for me. I have to use it for my next model which shall provide a virtual model of one of our testrooms.

So have questions....

I have downloaded the example attached to this post. As I try to run it I get error in the OpenDB method, "SQLite.open" can not be processed, error: unable to database file.

As by your post, first I have downloaded the 64bit (my Window7 is 64bit) Precompiled Binaries for Windows from SQLite Download Center.

I probably need to ask out IT to install it on my PC.

Kind regards

Marco

what is your setting in the SQLite interface?

Default it is :memory:, that means, that you not need a file and the database is stored in the memory.

The setting is :memory, ... I see in attributes of .Models.OBSC.SQLite.

I have downloaded this example as linked into this post.

So I need the SQL related database/file related to this model.

Marco
