Hi all.

I just started using Plant Simulation and I have the following scenario:

applications arrive every 5 minutes.

A loan officers will review the application, This review step takes 20 minutes.

After they move to checkers check, This check takes 10 minutes.

There are 5 loan officers and 3 checkers.

I’m having difficulty in connecting the workers to the processes.

Your help is highly appreciated,

Thank you.

Hi!

If you do not have to simulate the movement/time of workers, maybe it is logical to simply connect these processes and not model workers at all?

Also, reading the Help Topic about 'Workplace' and 'Worker' might help. Also, there are quite a few examples in the software. Start Page> Example Models > Small Examples>  Category: Resources (if you haven't checked it out already)

 Good luck!

Hello,

attached you can find a model which implements something similar to your scenario. Here you can tell that the main issue is to coordinate your workers properly. This is done in the example by using global variables and exit controls, but you might still need to make adjustments to make this approach fit your use case.

Kind regards,

Igor
