How can I find the VBA COM library

Pioneer

I want to control a plant simulation window using VBA in an excel file, but I cant find the plant simulation type library to add to my excel file. Where can I find this library?

Edit: It seems like this is part of the interface package. I have a professional license, do I still need the interface license to access this?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your response. I think you misunderstood my questions, so I will try to be more clear.

1. Where can I find the type library that must be added to VBA to define the plant sim COM object?

2. I have a professional license, do I need the interface package to use the COM object in VBA?

Thanks again.

@1. You don't need it for VBA as you can create a Plant simulation object like this !

Sub main()

Dim Plantsimulation As Object

Set Plantsimulation = CreateObject("Tecnomatix.PlantSimulation.RemoteControl.13.2")

If Plantsimulation Is Nothing Then

Debug.Print "error"

Stop

End If

Plantsimulation.loadmodel ("c:\temp\yyy.spp")

End Sub

If you still insist, have a look at plantSimCore.dll

@2. NO, everything you need for is available within the prof lic

@2.: I think, Interface Package needed? Or is the help file wrong?

Have a look at "Available Features of the Individual Licenses"

The  licenses, listed below, provide the COM-interface feature

-Professional

-Standard

-Application

-Runtime

-Research

-Educational

-Student

It's not a matter of buying and installing some additional software package

but having the appropriate Plant Simulation license.

The "Plant Simulation Interface Package" is just saying, where the COM interface feature is placed ( among other interfaces)
