# How to reduce a transporter speed constantly

Experimenter

Dear all,

is it possible to reduce the speed of a transporter constantly after every 10 meter on every path in a network?

For example: At the beginnig the speed of a transporter is 30 km/h. After 10 meter the speed reduces to 29 km/h. After another 10 meter the speed reduces to 28 km/h and so on.. So the speed at the end of way1 may be 20 km/h. After passing the single station he will drive on way2 and his speed "starts" at 20 km/h. After 10 meter the speed reduces to 19 km/h. After another 10 meter it reduces to 18 km/h and so on...

If anybody has an idea on how to fix my problem, please let me know.
Thank you for any suggestions!

Best regards,

Siemens Phenom

Hi Julia,

you can use sensors at the ways: Click right onto the Way object and select Create Sensor.

When the transporter passes the sensor the assigned method is called:

You must set the speed of the transporter by the instruction

@.speed := 30/3.6

Note that the speed is measured in m/s. The shown instruction set the speed 30 km/h.

Please read also the documentation to the method  str_to_speed. Use the index.

Peter
