Insert a TableFile object and a Method object into your model.
In the method use the following statement to read your Excel file: TableFile.readExcelFile("Path to your Excel file");
Then you use the following statement to parametrize your machines:
str_to_obj(TableFile[2,2]).procTime := TableFile[2,3] * 60;
In addition to Ralf Tobels suggestion you will probably need to use the List(Type) setting for the processing time. This will enable you to get a specific process time for each product, assuming this is what you want.
Or use Formula for Processing Time, specify a method to read the time from the table you imported.
Read from excel file..
I want to link data from excel file as input to Processing time and MU from source.
Is it possible?
if yes, then what is the procedure?
You can execute the method which reads the Excel at every start of simulation. (You can use the Init method for doing this.)
A real link to the Excel data is not possible.
so, in time the MU generation, you evaluate yours new attribute with needed time, you got from Excel…
After this, when the MU entry to the Station,
You need to write the Method, then evaluates Processing time. You need to attach this method to Entrance and check “Before actions”, so, in this case each MU can have individual processing time…
