I have made a Line which has items going round and round itself and are equally distanced apart from each other (So Line links back to itself to make a circle). Having played around for a while (using Min Gap and Mu Length) I have got it working so no blockages happen and items keep going round and round.
However I have put some Failures on the line and now the line blocks and hence doesn't restart once the Failure ends.
This happens because one of the parts is partially on the end of the line and partially on the front of the line when the failure happens. Not sure what exactly is confusing it as this will happen all the time before the failure. I am sure it is this as the line restarts if the failures happens when no parts are partially on the front and end.
I did manage one way of solving this by observing NumMuParts and if one above NumMu then deactivate the Failures. However this delays the failures immensley as about half the time there is MU partially at start and end.
Anyone have any ideas?
I've tried to replicate what you described, but it seems to work for me.

Sorry about slow reply I was out of the office yesterday. It is simlar but I don't have accumulating and also have a set amount of items entering. I have managed to replicate the problem without sending you the entire model attached.
seems like the line is not restarted after a failure.

the bug was found and it will be fixed in the next service pack.
But be aware that some rounding errors can also lead to a situation where the line stops.
If a MU wants to leave the end of the line and enter the front and the minimum gap is not yet reached the line will be stopped because it is non accumulating. This means that the gap can never reach the minimum.
