Loading a different amount of entities in a container depending on entity type

Hello!

We are attempting to test a CONWIP concept in plant sim. The purpose of the CONWIP test is to have a limited amount of containers rotating in the simulation.

The problem we have is that we have several different products and with these comes the problem that we can fit different amounts of products on the containers depending on what type of product it is. Atleast that's what we are tryng to do. Currently we are using transferstations to load the entities onto a container on a line, but we can't find a function that allows us to tell the transferstation to load a different amount depending on what entity it is loading. We could possibly use an assembly instead, but we can't find a function for that either.

Is there anyone that could help us with this or give us a tip? It would be appreciated.

Re: Loading a different amount of entities in a container depending on entity type

you can do it with some lines SimTalk (e.g. exit control rear of the source of the containers, new syntax)

while @.full=false loop
.MUs.Entity.create(@)
end

You need only to set the capacity of the containers e.g. in the class library.
