Looking for easy tasks to train modelling

Creator

Hi all.

I'm looking for a set of example tasks to model.

I recently started working with Plant Simulation and want to get better at it.

I modelled so far an easy line with a stock, different stochastic production times and logging basic attributes (Production time, current BE in stock) in a table.

I tried to think of different tasks by myself to model, but the problem is, that I always have solution already in mind, it's hard to get better this way.

I've searched, but I haven't found a set of tasks to do for a beginner. Is there any list of tasks, which I can try to model? The only ones I've found were pretty huge.

If it matters: I have a student licence, along with its restrictions.

Kind regards,

Patrick

Did you ever find a good training solution?

I have found a Technomatix book on Amazon for $100 USED up to $250 NEW. Not sure how good the book is on training the basics and advanced use of Plant Sim.

Let me know. I'm curious.

Thanks.

Great! Thank you.

Book will be here in about 2-weeks. Have to start somewhere and apply the KISS method.

Thanks again!

Hi Yagermeister,

I'm am actually still working with plant sim and I started with a course at our university (because learning the basics for yourself is a bit hard) and afterwards learned the advanced stuff from Mr. Bangsows book, but it was an older version pre Syntax 2.0. The first half of the book was really helpful if you had already a bit of experience, otherwhise the introduction was quite harsh. In the 2nd half of the book the examples got really extensive, but that's good if you need some more practice. In summary the book was quite good and helpful.
