All my MU's in my system are created with different weights. This is stored as a user created attribute.
Is there a way (in 2D) to display the weight of each MU as a Display Panel above/below the MU while it is moving through the system?

No, but in a Frame you can choose to show Object Labels. Hence, put the weight into the MU label and show it.
There is no "Display Panel" item for MU objects, and the label is a best way.
