Manufacturing simulation

Hi! I need some help for a manufacturing process simulation.

I have 4 different parts that need to be worked in machines with different processing time and setup times.

Part1: machine1 (processing time: 9:00, setUp time: 2:00)

Part2: machine1 (processing time: 8:00, setUp time: 1:50), machine2 (processing time:7:00, setUp time:2:00)

Part3: machine3 (processing time: 6:00, setUp time 2:00)

Part4: machine3 (processing time: 5:30 setUp time 2:00), machine 2 ( processing time 6:00, setUp time 2:30)

Anybody can help me? I tried to use a work plan but I'm not sure if it is the correct solution.

Best regards,

Giulia.

Insert two tables into your frame, than you can use the setting list(type)

Type in the first column of the tables the names of the MUs in the second the times.

Ok, but do I have to create a specific table for every process to indicate the parts that need to be worked there and relative times?

And how can I simulate that for example the part 1 needs to be worked just in the first machine and than leaves the system while the others need to be worked in further machines?

In your example it would be sufficient to use the exit strategy: MU attribute, here you can define a successor depend on the name of the MU

For just 4 parts you can use the Exit strategy "MU attribute". See the Help pages for how this works.
