Can a line sensor method be written for when the sensor is triggered, the item is stopped on the line and a worker is called to pick it up and drop it off at a buffer? Or is a transfer station required between the line and and a workplace? I'm not sure how to put togther such method with a worker. Thanks!
yes you can, but it is not an easy task.
First, define a special worker class which will not be mediated by Broker/Workerpool
In the INIT method (of workerpool) you have to set the worker to be not mediated:
if worker.class=.MyWorkerclass then worker.automaticMediation := false
from now on, you can use the sensor control to call the worker, remeber, you need a workplace for the sensor position:
At the entrance control of the workplace, you set the destination for the part, move the part to the worker and move the worker to the destination workplace:
part.destination := TargetStation part.move(worker) worker.goto(WorplaceOfTargetStation)
