Modelling a sequence at a certain time

Pioneer

Hello guys!

I have a question. Usually the MUs go from the bow to the Puffer2 (t0-t1). At t1 I want Puffer2 to collect the MUs in a special sequence. The first MU should come from the bow, then one waiting one from Garage1, then another two from the bow. Then the cycle is over and it should start again, until a special reference element arrives. Then the Garage1 is supposed to be closed again and all following unis should come from the bow again. How can I realize that? Thank you!

Kind regards,

Markus

you could use a FlowControl to connect Bow and  Garage with buffer. In the flowControl Entry Strategy: Cyclic sequence (Table with sequence of predecessor numbers e.g. 1,2,1,1).

Non blocking: for stopping/starting the flow from the garage you can lock/unlock the exit of the garage (e.g. exitcontrol rear of the bow with a special marked MU).

Thank you. And how can I implement the time? I don't want to have this sequence before a certain time (e.g. not in the first two hours).

Kind regards,

Markus

You can use a trigger to lock/unlock the exit of the garage (attribute exitLocked).

Hello Steffen,

thank you for your help. I added a flow control with the exit strategy 1,2,1,1, but nothing happens. Where do I have to relate the numbers 1 and 2 to? And how can I install this trigger? I found the symbol, but which values does it need? It didn't work in the way I tried it.

Best regards,

Markus

the flowcontrol you should use as entry strategy (with two predecessors)- the number in the sequence-table is the number of the predecessor

The trigger changes the value of something, insert a global variable into your frame. When the trigger changes the value he can also call a method, there you can assign the method.

Hello Steffen,

I'm quite a beginner, so I really have to ask right from the start.

Where can I see which number belongs to which predecessor? My predecessors are called Bogen and Garage1.

Thank you!

Best regards,

Markus

point with the mouse on the connector.

The first number is the successor-number of the predesessor. The last number is the predesessor number.

Hello Steffen,

oh, I didn't see the wood for the trees, thank you very much!

Now, next step. The material flow control should not work before a certain time, e.g. one hour after the simulation started. Before (at the simulation start), the MUs should arrive from Garage1. When all are in the simulation circle, they are supposed to come from Bogen to Puffer2. Simultaneously, Garage1 is closed. After the certain time (e.g. 1 hour) the sequence should start in order to put more MUs inside from the garage, meaning that the time intervall between two MUs is reduced. How can I realize that now?

Best regards,

Markus

Additionally, the material flow control doesn't work. The MUs from the garage are interrupted and not integrated in the circle while the MU's in the circle keep on passing the Material Flow control...
