Hi

I have a situation where in there are 4 different machines and each of these 4 machines perfroms the same set of operations but there is a slight difference in the cycletimes of these 4 machines. Ouput per cycle from each machine is 4.

Can anyone please help me how do i model this scenario.

Regards

Sujith

**if** the machines are connected in series with each other then the output will be equal to the machine who has the max cycletime as it is the bottleneck machine.

Hello,

I guess you haven't understood my problem case.

The machines are not connected in series.

I have one machine of X type and 4 machines of Y type. Machine X performs Z1 operation and Machine Y performs Z2 operation.

The output from machine X is transferred to either of any 4 machines of Y type which performs the same Z2 operation.

The output per cycle from each of these four machines of Y type is 4.

The parts from Machine type X is transferred in a batch of batch size containing 60 parts to any of the four machines of Y type based on the availability of these four machines.

The cycle time of machine type Y is almost same.

I hope the question is clear to you now. Kindly suggest a methodology to model the scenario.

Regards

Sujith
