I have a situation where in there are 4 different machines and each of these 4 machines perfroms the same set of operations but there is a slight difference in the cycletimes of these 4 machines. Ouput per cycle from each machine is 4.
Can anyone please help me how do i model this scenario.
if the machines are connected in series with each other then the output will be equal to the machine who has the max cycletime as it is the bottleneck machine.
I guess you haven't understood my problem case.
The machines are not connected in series.
I have one machine of X type and 4 machines of Y type. Machine X performs Z1 operation and Machine Y performs Z2 operation.
The output from machine X is transferred to either of any 4 machines of Y type which performs the same Z2 operation.
The output per cycle from each of these four machines of Y type is 4.
The parts from Machine type X is transferred in a batch of batch size containing 60 parts to any of the four machines of Y type based on the availability of these four machines.
The cycle time of machine type Y is almost same.
