Dear simulator,

 

I have new situation in my model (attached you can open it to make the problem more clear).

Now I need to gather the washed parts with the same robot, which was feed the washers.

So the process would be:

1. PaP1 send Slipper_plate and Cover_Plate to Washer21 and to Washer22.

1.1. PaP2 send Cylinderhead to Washer2 and to Washer1

2. The washed parts from Washer21 and from Washer22 are going to sent to B_SPaCP

2.1. The washed parts from Washer2 and from Washer1 are going to sent to B_CH

 

I tried to control this process by methods (Unit1; Unit2) in exit control of the PickandPlace elements but without success. My parts circle around between PaP's and Washers. The washed pieces can only go to B_SPaCP and to B_CH

 

I would appreciate it if you could help me with this problem.

Dear Steffen,

I you have time, could you please check the attached model and describe a solution for this new situation.

The model is similar than it was before, only the flow has been changed. Now I have the PaP1 and PaP2 and they handled the parts before washing and after washing process, so I need to gather the washed parts with the same robot, which was feed the washers.

So the process would be:

1. PaP1 moves Slipper_plate and Cover_Plate to Washer21 and to Washer22.

1.1. PaP2 moves Cylinderhead to Washer2 and to Washer1

2. The washed parts from Washer21 and from Washer22 are going to move to B_SPaCP

2.1. The washed parts from Washer2 and from Washer1 are going to move to B_CH

The fist cycle is still OK, but then the next parts are going to start to circle around between PaP's and Washers.

 

I would appreciate it if you could help me with this problem.

this a typical task for the targetcontrol of the PickAndPlace, here you can e.g. based on the previous location of the MUs set the destination of the PickAndPlace

thank you for your great support. I didn't think about targetcontrol as a possible solution, I tried to solve it by exitControl without success.

Hello Steffen,

 

I have just recognised during model testing that it could pairing Slipper_plate and Cover_Plate with different serial number of Cylinderhead. On the attached picture you can see e.g. that there is Cylindrhead number 3. placed on Slipper_plate number 2.

This situation heappens if I set different processing times and different Availability for the machines.

How can I guarantee the correct pairing (different parts with the same serial number)?

Attached you can find the pisture about this situation and I also attached the model because I made som layout changes on it.

I would recommend to use two assembly stations for the pairing, so you can place the plates for both washing machines. In the target control you can check then the id and move to the station with the right plate.

Thank you Steffen, but the layout is given. I can use only one assembly station. Is there a solution for this?

I don't think so, you will need two places for running the washing machines independently

Hello,

 

this could be a solution. I need to control when PaP pulls the parts, that serial No. of the nex part has to be less than the serial No. of the part in the other washer (or waiting for the washer).

The only problem is, that I dont know how can I write it in a method.

Can you give me an example?
